DIY DD-20 Delay tap tempo

All the parts were ordered from PedalPartsPlus.com. The switch is a DPDT Momentary Switch, while the input jack is a simple mono, and the enclosure is just the small one. It's all pretty easy to find. You can use about any wires that can carry a current. I used normal speaker wire from a home stereo. It's about $15 in total. After your iron heats up, you can have a tape tempo in a matter of minutes :)

Truck Horn.wmv

Video of my Stuttertone air horn finally finished on my 2007 Nissan Frontier Truck. The horn sounds a bit off due to the cold. I tied the horn into the stock horn pad with a switch to toggle back in forth between the stock and air horns. I used the power from the stock horn and routed it to a single pole, double throw switch. The air is via a hornblasters 2 gallon tank with a 150 psi air compressor.

Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends - Nightmare Combos (New Characters/Movesets) with How-to [HD]

Comboing (or juggling) has been greatly nerfed in Xtreme Legends; gone are the days of infinite juggles and super complex combos in the original, as officers have a new ability to air recover any time during a combo if it is too extensive or too complex (separate from their regular air recovery). However, you can still pull off 100% combos in Nightmare difficulty on 10 star stages. These are some example combos for each of the new characters or new movesets. Bear in mind that these combos are not comparable to the ones you can pull off in the original, as you are forced to shorten them intensively (otherwise the officer will do their "super air recovery" and you will either lose the combo count and/or the combo completely). All combos are done in Nightmare difficulty on 10 star stage with all character's title ranks unlocked. --- GUIDE/HOW-TO --- Action Keys: C1-6 = Charge attack 1-6 S1-6 - Square attack 1-6 EX - EX attack Switch - Switch attack (R1) RS = Running attack JA - Jump attack (x + square) JC - Jump cancel (x following prior attack) Ground Musou, Musou 1, Musou 2, and Air Musou are pretty self-explanatory + = Do an extra charge hit after the charge attack (ie press triangle twice) Please note that only the required seals are listed, any blank spots are up to you to fill. 36v (modified) Razor e300 (stock controller & motor)

This is my razor e300 (version 35) scooter. I added a 12v battery to make it go around 20mph. The controller and motor are both stock parts (24v, unchanged). You can charge it with a 24v charger. Speed is controlled with the two DPDT switches, both allowing a bypass of one battery each, giving the scooter two 24v settings (two different combinations of batteries) and one 36v setting (all three batteries, no bypassing). The scooter MUST be started on a 24v setting. The lights are made to run on ~24v. 36v upgrade cost: ~$50 -solder, wire, tape (thanks RadioShack) Battery: www.radioshack.com DPDT switches: www.radioshack.com

Secret Revealed - Overclocking the Sega Genesis Model 2

Please READ the description before attempting this mod! Difficulty: Well, it's not a cakewalk like the Sega Genesis Model 1. If you thought that was hard then do your Genesis a big favor and walk away! To my knowledge there are no videos that show you this and it's quite different from the Model 1 which is super easy to overclock with it's Motorola 68000 DIP package. The Model 2's Motorola has the pin/legs soldered underneath it so to remove them you need to heat the leg up and use an X-ACTO #11 blade (sharp point helps) and get in behind pin/leg #15 and slowly work it out from underneath the chip. Remember to only heat the leg for a few seconds and then let it cool off then resume and repeat till the leg/pin #15 is free to bend upward. Once your wire is soldered on, I highly recommend you encase leg/pin #15 in hot glue to keep it from breaking off. If it snaps off you're pretty much up the creek without a paddle and you can proceed to start salvaging parts off the motherboard or throw it away! The point I showed in the video for tapping the 7.6MHz clock speed from will need to be scrapped with an X-ACTO blade to expose the copper soldering pad. Next, apply some flux to get your solder to stick. After that, tin your wire and solder it on. From there on out it's just like a Model 1, hook up your wires to a DPDT switch for the overclock and your dual LED indicator. In the video, purple wire = 10MHz, white wire = 7.6Mhz, and the orange wire = leg/pin #15 is soldered onto the ...

What's In The Box??? ...Radium Switches!

I received a box of surplus single pole double throw switches which turned out to be tipped with radium. I am checking the radioactivity at each step in opening the box, and bag of switches. Some of the switches are much hotter radiologically than others. Some are not radioactive at all. Subsequent to this video, I measured each switch (in the plastic baggie), and they range from around 1500 to 3000 CPM each on the Inspector. Out of the baggie, and about 1cm from the pancake probe the readings ranged from about 10K to 12K CPM, lots of alpha. Quite a difference. Geiger counters used are a Russian Kvarts DRSB-01, a GeoElectronics LENi Pro, and a Medcom Inspector Alert. Recorded on a Canon FS-11 camcorder.

Ignition Coil sparks with Relay Driver/Interrupter

The NC contacts (one of the pair) of a 12 volt 10 amp DPDT relay are bridged by a .25 uF capacitor and wired in series with the relay coil to form a vibrator. The relay coil is then wired across the ignition coil primary. The capacitor is essential, but its value is not critical but it should be about 400 volts. I use a condenser from a points/condenser ignition system. You only need one NC contact pair. The DPDT relay is easy to obtain but only half of it is used.

Midtown Mini Rail Session (EA Skate 3 Video)

Short spot session video, featuring pairsprowlin666 and myself. We figured out how to access the area outside the boundaries of the new Art Gallery DLC. It's actually surprisingly easy to get there, so don't bother asking. As we explored the "hidden" area, we came across a tiny handrail that was pretty difficult to skate. We ended up getting a decent amount of tricks on it, so we filmed what we had saved there. The end result was this short session video I threw together. Hope you guys enjoy! You can shred the Art Gallery and it's surrounding areas if you purchase the "San Van Party Pack" for 560 Microsoft Points (or $6.99 if you're PS3). If you are a fan of the older Skate games, I strongly recommend you purchase this DLC! AM transmitter

Homemade $5 2-Channel AM transmitter Although FM transmitters are a dime a dozen basically anywhere they sell anything (so you can pump your ipod/CDs whatever through any FM radio, like in your car). However, low power AM transmitters are a pain to find. Some digging on the net revealed commercially available ones for around $50, but I wasn't ready to spend that much. I built my own, with about $10 in parts (if you had to buy it all new, I had all but $3 of it in junk bins). My final design was a jazzed-up chimera of about 3 similar designs. I could only find a handful of simple ones online. I started with the version here at sci-toys.com . The basic idea is to run a signal through a crystal oscillator, which when output to an antenna, sends radio signals at a fixed frequency (in our AM band's case, 1.0 and 1.2 MHz).sci-toys.com Oscillators were purchased from Mouser.com for under $2 each. I added LED's, a switch, and 2 channels in case there's a radio station on one, or there's interference. I used the other half of my DPDT switch to control a single LED indicator. www.agileguitarforum.com However, there was a problem that caused the output from the antenna on one channel to influence the other one when both the antenna and ground are linked, essentially halving the power and causing both channels to always be transmitting. So, back to the drawing board, here's the final version that works like gangbusters: www.agileguitarforum.com Note: small transmitters must be kept ...

Atari Punk Console - VCS Tribute

From Forrest M. Mimm's 1980 publication "Engineer's Notebook: Integrated Circuit Applications" came the stepped tone generator - two 555 timer ICs are configured to create a single square (pulse) wave. Kaustic Machines coined the term Atari Punk Console to describe the circuit as it's output is similar to the sounds of the Atari VCS games console of the 1980s. The work featured here is a DIY build of an Atari Punk Console inspired analogue synthesiser known as the Dub-Step-Arcade designed by Matt The Modulator (aka Matthew Newlove). As a tribute to it's origins in the dusty circuits of the 1980s the build is housed in a heavily modified Atari VCS enclosure. Materials used include hand machined matte black acrylic control panel and Atari VCS enclosure, laser engraved gloss black acrylic fascia (RazorLAB), salvaged mains power supply, reconditioned stock Atari VCS DPDT switches, stock arcade machine parts and miscellaneous fixtures, fittings and electronic components.

Ronco Showtime Rotisserie Oven Circuit Modification to Reduce Heat for Slow Cooking

Use a high power diode and switch to obtain a lower heat setting for your one-heat-setting-only electric rotisserie. For awhile I considered using varactors for adjustable heat control; ie adjustable voltage clipping, see for example the motor control for a treadmill. However, there really isn't enough room in this control box for much else than a diode and switch.* The single diode, which clips the current by half, is pretty easy to install and does a great job of giving you a lower heat setting for slower cooking. Unlike the usual how-to videos, this is not a step-by-step instruction guide, mostly because I am making it "after the fact" and I am not motivated to take it apart for a video as I don't anticipate much of an audience. Rather you get the idea and can provide your own solution once you get inside your oven, it isn't a difficult proceedure (depending on your skill set I guess). The point of this video is to convey the idea of a diode, which is a workable, cheap solution to the problem of not having any heat control on these classic cookers. I admit, it took me a little while to hit on this solution, having toyed with the idea of more sophisticated controls. Just for the record, the normal high heat setting is perfect for most of your cooking needs, obviously it was designed for poultry, which it does very well, but if you're like me and desire a lower heat setting for slower cooking (like ribs and non-precooked bratwurst), this mod does the job nicely. Electric OU: More on Oscillations: Relationship of FG Drive Offset to MOSFET Switching

Or: Why a simple 555 timer cannot produce all the effects of the Ainslie circuit. The complete circuit schematic is available for download here: www.mediafire.com For the negative gate drive, low heat mode which does not turn a mosfet fully on.... the 555 timer must produce a pulse that is _more negative_ than the main supply battery. That means it cannot be powered off of the main battery in a simple manner. My solution is to "float" the timer's power supply. But this doesn't work for a positive going pulse from the timer... because there isn't the required _negative_ component that keeps the oscillations going. In this video I show the relationship between the amplitude and offset of the FG drive pulse, to the oscillations and the state of the mosfets. By carefully "tuning" the offset and the amplitude of the FG's output, one can get the Q2 oscillations to happen along with a partially on Q1 mosfet. Again... this reproduces another aspect of the Ainslie DATA. Unfortunately it is ignorance which has caused her to misinterpret this data and what is happening in her circuit. This video got kind of long so I didn't show what the 555 timer does. With the simple 555 circuit that I use, one cannot control the "offset" in the same way that the FG can. But I have installed the Secret of DPDT on TarBaby's clock board, so that I can go from a strict negative-going drive to a strict positive-going drive with the mere flick of a switch, live and on camera. I'll illustrate this in ...

Make: Electronics - Experiment 8

This experiment adds a 1k microF capacitor to the mix to use with our DPDT latching relay, momentary switch, and resistor. This time around the switch doesn't directly control the coil within the relay and the capacitor acts as a backup battery source for said coil.

Experiment XX: Debouncing a Switch 1 - Debouncing a SPDT Slider Switch

This video discusses what is switch bouncing and explaines how we can debounce a SPDT (single pole double throw) slide switch. It uses an SR latch to achieve debouncing and it shows how we can implement this circuit using 74LS00 NAND gates. It also examines the output of this circuit using an oscilloscope and demonstrates that the circuit is working effectively. This is part 1, in the next part I will explain how to debounce a SPST momentary push button switch using a RC circuit and a Schmitt trigger. This video is part of a module on digital electronics that is running at the School of Electronic Engineering at Dublin City University. www.eeng.dcu.ie
