Electric Blinds for under $10

My sub $10 electric blinds. Made with simple electric screwdriver and DPDT switches. Changed voltage from 6v to 9v for added speed.

Automatic dorm room blinds

We are two engineers from dordt college in Sioux center Iowa. We decided that our curtains were to heavy to open ourselves so we designed automatic curtains. We first drew up computer models on solid works, then we made all the components from scratch (even the gears). The curtain is powered by a six volt high torque motor which is controlled by a dpdt switch that is located near our beds. In the future the curtains will be timed so they will open every morning on there own!
