How to Make a TRE for GSXR 1000 (timing retard eliminator)

This does the same thing as a JSD TRE, Ivan's TRE, except for a smart TRE. your going to need a transistor for that. Showing how to make a TRE for a GSXR 1000. For those of you that don't know what a TRE is, it's a Timing Retard Elimanator. what it does is eliminate the timing retard in the 1st four gears of the bike. It increases horsepower, torque, and response in the lower rpm band. Suzuki has deliberately programmed the ECM for less than maximal torque in the first four gears. Presumably, this is done to protect the rider from the full power! What they've done is to "retard" the timing, or make the spark occur TOO LATE, on purpose, so that maximal torque is NOT acheived. What you wil need is: -SPDT/DPDT switch -Electrical wire, something thick enough so it won't break -Carbon Film Resistor: 6800 ohm for GSXR 1000 15000 ohm for GSXR 600/750 -Soldering Iron -solder -electrical pliers -multimeter to double check if it's the right resistor and to see if it's working (optional) -Dremmel/Drill for making a hole to put the switch somewhere accesible NOTE: all of these can be found at your nearest Radioshack/hardware store. it's better than buying a $20+ JSD/Ivans TRE
